Recommended songs not based on liked songs
Background: I've got kids who like listening to peaceful panio before bed so I play it on my phone for them. None of those songs are “liked” in Spotify, even though my play history has about an hour of peaceful piano each night.
Issue: The AI is only providing me with lots of peaceful piano recommendations, even though I haven't acrually indicated that I “like” them with a heart. It appears that my actual liked songs aren't taken into consideration at all 😅

Thanks for the feedback! We already had a “Excluding artists” option in the algorithm settings, but it ment it would prevent those artists from appearing in the recommendations themselves.
I could change that so that those artists are also completely ignored in the interference part of the AI recommendations system. That would only work in your scenario though if you blacklist all the piano artists (idk how many they are). If there’s enough demand I can expand this to be “smart excludes”, so it will not just filter out those exact artists but also similar music/artists.
Another solution which I would recommend in general is to mark the piano playlist you use in spotify as “Exclude from taste profile”. This will prevent Spotify from tracking the streams, meaning it will both prevent their autoplay/ai from recommending it, it will also prevent that music from appearing in your Spotify Wrapped and of course prevent it from being used in Swipefy.
If thats not an option, I hope the next update will help you out. This update will bring “Your Music Tastes”, splitting your music tastes into different clusters (one of them would be the piano music). Then you can select a cluster yourself and swipe through it.

Thanks for the quick and thorough reply! I'll try excluding those playlists from my taste profile and that, combined with the “Your Music Tastes” update should get me sorted. Cheers! I'll subscribe to the Pro version right now 👍🏻
